FAQ’S

DO YOU PROVIDE HOME VISITS?

Home visits are available for our regular patients whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. Please telephone the surgery to arrange a time.

WHAT ARE YOUR FEES AND BILLING ARRANGEMENTS?

Fees are payable at the time of consultation by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card. Charges for standard consultations and after hours consultations are displayed in the front reception area. Pensioners and concession card holders are charged a reduced fee. Veterans sign a service voucher.

Non Attendance: Charges will be incurred for failure to notify of cancellations or for late notification.

HOW DO I REQUEST A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?

Twenty four hours notice is required for repeat prescriptions without a consultation. Charges apply and payment is required on the day of collection.

Schedule 4 and schedule 8 medications (including opioid and benzodiazepine) prescriptions require a face-to-face appointment. These medications are not prescribed to new patients at first presentation.

WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE FOR GETTING TEST RESULTS?

Your doctor will check any investigations and requests at the end of the day and will leave a comment for the staff to provide to you. Please allow a minimum of 24 hours for results to come in. Some tests require an appointment to discuss the results and your doctor will advise you if this is required.
